WHO WE WORK WITH

Built for the People Who Send Us Guests

Many of the guests who come to Iboga Treatment Center arrive because a professional they trust pointed them here. We work with:

  • Therapists and addiction counselors
  • Interventionists and family recovery coaches
  • Sober living and recovery residence operators
  • Physicians, psychiatrists and nurse practitioners
  • Case managers and treatment placement specialists

If you’ve watched a client cycle through detox after detox, or stall on methadone or Suboxone for years, a longer ibogaine program may be the change that finally holds.

WHO WE TREAT

Clients We’re a Good Fit For

Our programs are designed for people who need more than a quick dose, especially those coming off long-acting opioids:

Not every client is medically eligible. Serious heart problems such as long QT or an irregular rhythm, a past stroke, severe liver or kidney disease, active psychosis and pregnancy all rule ibogaine out, and some medications must be tapered before arrival. Our medical team makes the final call after screening, so refer anyone you think could benefit and let us do that work.

HOW REFERRALS WORK

How a Referral Works, Step by Step

  1. Reach out. Call admissions, or have your client apply online, with you on the call if they’d like.
  2. Medical screening. We collect a medical history and every current medication, then arrange an EKG and blood work.
  3. A clear recommendation. Our team recommends a program length based on what your client is coming off, and the total cost is confirmed before anything is booked.
  4. Booking and travel. A 20% deposit reserves the start date. We arrange transport from the airport, usually San Diego International, and our team handles the drive and the border crossing.
  5. Treatment. Stabilization, the ibogaine session with two or more doctors present, then time to recover.
  6. Discharge. Your client leaves with a personalized aftercare plan.
WHAT SETS US APART

Why Professionals Choose Our Program

  • Longer stays. Four weeks is our most recommended program, because lasting change needs time on both sides of the ibogaine session.
  • Medical depth. Three medical doctors on our team, at least two in the room for every ibogaine session, heart monitoring throughout and magnesium to protect the heart.
  • Stabilization first. Fentanyl, methadone and Suboxone are cleared safely before ibogaine is given, on the body’s timeline rather than a fixed schedule.
  • Experience. More than 500 guests treated since 2018.
  • Honest expectations. We don’t promise cures or quote inflated numbers. Our look at the ibogaine success rate explains what the research really shows.
STAYING CONNECTED

Staying in the Loop on Your Client’s Care

With your client’s written consent, our admissions team can confirm their arrival, share how they’re doing, and include you in the aftercare plan before discharge, so the work you started continues once they’re home. Tell us at referral what kind of updates are most useful to you.

For clients who need extra time before returning to daily life, our ibogaine aftercare option adds a supported recovery stay after treatment.

PROGRAMS AND COST

Program Lengths and Pricing

Programs run from one to four weeks, and longer stays are arranged individually. Our prices are published openly on the ibogaine treatment cost page, so you can set expectations with clients and families before they call. A 20% deposit secures the start date, and we don’t offer payment plans or financing.

Every option is laid out on our ibogaine treatment programs page.

Referring to Iboga Treatment Center: Common Questions

What professionals usually ask us before sending a client our way.

Can I refer a client who is on methadone or Suboxone?

Yes, these are among the clients we see most. Because both are long-acting, programs start at four weeks so your client can be moved off safely before ibogaine is given.

That depends on medical screening and current availability. Call admissions for the next open start date. Once screening is complete and the deposit is in, we confirm the arrival date.

Yes. Ibogaine is legal in Mexico, where we’re based, while it remains a Schedule I substance in the United States. Our guide to whether ibogaine is legal in the US covers recent changes.

If screening shows ibogaine isn’t safe for your client, our team will tell both of you directly and explain why.

Yes. Parents, partners and other relatives often reach out first. With the client’s permission, we’re glad to speak with family as well as with you.

Start with admissions at (877) 876-4157. They’ll involve our medical team whenever a question about medications, heart history or eligibility needs a doctor’s input.
