For universities, research institutes, nonprofits and independent investigators working on ibogaine research. If your work could benefit from an experienced, medically supervised treatment center, we’d like to hear from you.
Ibogaine has drawn growing interest from researchers, policymakers and the public, yet much of what’s known still comes from small observational studies. At Iboga Treatment Center, we believe careful, independent research is how the field earns trust and how treatment becomes safer for everyone who seeks it.
We’re open to conversations with researchers and organizations who share that goal, whatever stage your project is at.
Our center in Ensenada, Mexico has treated more than 500 guests since 2018. Each guest completes medical screening before treatment, and two or more doctors are present for each ibogaine session, with heart monitoring throughout. Our programs are longer than most, built around stabilization before ibogaine and time to recover afterward, with four weeks our most recommended stay.
You can read more about how ibogaine works and how we approach safety.
We’re glad to explore collaboration across a range of areas, including:
If your interest falls outside this list, reach out anyway.
The people who trust us with their care come first in any collaboration. Any work involving guests would require their informed consent, protection of their privacy, and appropriate ethics review. We’re happy to discuss how those safeguards would apply to your project from the first conversation.
A few things researchers and organizations often ask us first.
Academic researchers, research institutes, hospitals, nonprofits, foundations and independent investigators are all welcome to contact us.
A short description of your project or idea, your institution or organization, and the best way to reach you. Early ideas are welcome; nothing needs to be finalized.
Any collaboration involving guests would depend on their informed consent, privacy protections and appropriate ethics review. We discuss those safeguards at the start of every conversation.
